Shri Narendra Modi interacted with over 2000 enthusiastic volunteers of ‘India272+ Volunteering Platform’ via teleconferencing on Thursday 20th Feb 2014.

Over 2000 enthusiastic volunteers of ‘India272+ Volunteering Platform’(http://www.india272.com) got further shot in the arm when their inspirational leader Shri Narendra Modi interacted with them over audio bridge between 7.30 PM to 8.00 PM on Thursday. Shri Narendra Modi took further questions from the volunteers and enlightened them with his insightful and personalised addresses on a range of issues including agenda setting for 2014 elections after having launched India 272’s latest initiative NaMoNumber earlier in the day. The NaMoNumber (7820078200) was designed to keep track of the number of NaMo Supporters a Volunteer has persuaded.

Below are the highlights of the takeaways that came out of the interactive session with the volunteers:

Emphasis on Ground Activities:

The volunteers should put maximum emphasis on the ground activities that connects with the local people directly. Volunteers should try and bring out local issues being faced by the people in their respective constituencies and convey them to the party leadership for appropriate redressal. They should also give inputs for the local manifesto for the Parliamentary Constituency and provide inputs for Candidate selection (in selected constituencies)

‘Vote for India’:

The central message of the BJP to appeal and persuade voters to ‘Vote for India’ should remain the soul of all volunteering activities in order to transcend any partisan and sectarian electoral considerations present on the ground. No diversionary attempt by political opponents to change the discourse of election agenda should be allowed to succeed. The agenda of development has been set and that should not be lost sight of.

Restraint on Social Media:

Volunteers should maintain highest level of decency and indulge in informed & civilized debate on social media forum. They must exercise utmost restraint even in face of provocation by opponents. Any instances of rumour mongering or cyber bullying should be dealt with in a matured manner and should avoid abuse as a counter to abuse by others.

Awareness of EPIC Number:

Volunteers must educate and assist electorate about EPIC number in their constituencies, so that maximum awareness can be spread to achieve maximum conversion of people’s support into electorate results.

After the informative and fruitful session that enchanted and inspired the participating volunteers, especially those who got to ask questions directly to their leader, a vote of thanks was given by Dr Arvind Gupta, National Head of IT Cell, BJP who also moderated the session to Shri Modi
