Narendra Modi addressed the CyberMedia ICT Business Awards 2013 ceremony in Delhi. The speech clearly indicated his vision for how the technology should be further developed in India and how it can be used help India progress at much faster rate.

Mr. Modi had earlier shared his mantras for ICT in an interview with VOICE&DATA.

“We need to work to create an atmosphere whereby India becomes home of next Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter and Amazon.”

“I see no reason why India cannot become the next hub of cloud infrastructure.”

“Abolishing roaming charges and thereby realizing the vision of ‘One Number, One Nation’ should be suitably taken up.”

“Telecom growth in India will have to come from competitiveness in areas such as innovation and better customer service.”

“We also should create more synergies between our long term national security needs and our technology incubation ecosystem.”

“Greater participation of private sector in defence manufacturing, also defence research so innovations have a spin-off effect.”

Mr. Modi during his speech at the CyberMedia ICT Business Awards 2013 said:
