Justice Hegde endorses Narendra Modi bursts AAP Bubble

Justice N Santosh Hegde who was part of the core team that led the India Against Corruption movement in his blog published on 24th January has burst the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) bubble. Justice Hegde is as a retired Supreme Court judge and has been the Lokayukta of Karnataka.

In an interview to the Kannada daily Vijay Karnataka on being asked “Who is better according to you Narendra Modi, Kejriwal or Rahul Gandhi?” he said that,

I do not support dynastic politics so no point in supporting Rahul Gandhi. I do not find Kejriwal good enough. Then the only option I have among the three is Modi. I agree with the policies of Narendra Modi and compared to the other two Modi is better. I like Modi’s style of governance.

Justice Hegde:

I have never wanted to join politics, so I wished him luck and told him that I would continue to remain a watch-dog and be critical of parties including his when they made mistakes.

But after AAP took over the administration, things went wrong one after another. The manner in which they took some decisions, and some of the decisions they took, were arbitrary. Many of them can be described as unconstitutional.

The SMS poll they held asking people whether they should form the government was also strange.

Now, what happened with the African women was totally illegal. None other than the Law Minister, who is a lawyer, took the law into his own hands.

Then came the big mistake. The Dharna. The Chief Minister, apart from other duties, also has constitutional obligations. The CM is signing files, takes decisions in matters of administration of the capital sitting on a footpath? Didn’t he take the oath of secrecy? Isn’t he violating the law?

It is not just Justice Hegde who is unhappy with the arrogant way in which Delhi Chief Minister has been acting. Have a look at these tweets to know how people are also unhappy.
