Poonam Mahajan on Voter Registration – a free App does the work!

Today is National Voter’s Day. This day, 25th of January, is celebrated by the Election Commission to welcome Youth who have turned the age of 18 to get registered as Voters.

The BJP’s National Secretary Poonam Mahajan, speaking at the BJP National Council at Ramleela Grounds, Delhi last week had explained how a Free Mobile App could help get new voters registered.

An entire generation will have come of voting age in this 2014 general Elections and their votes are touted to be the game changer. Hence, it becomes all the more imperative that we get many as many new voters registered as possible.

Key Points of her speech were-

We have to take Narendra Modi’s Ashwamedha ghoda (horse) to 7 Race Course once more.

We need to work like horses who sleep while standing. we can’t stop nor tire. We have to continuously work till BJP

Youth voter has been behind every revolution in the country. We have 12 crore new voters.

We need to enlist these new voters and enroll them. We need to make them aware of Form 6.

The new voter is important to us because it is dismayed with with the 10 years of congress rule and wants to see a party with strong resolve come to power.

If you see the assembly election results of 2012-13 you’ll notice that its the new voter, the 10% that has been taking BJP to victory in all these states.

We need to use technology to register new voters. Voter registration app is available in iphone, android and BlackBerry and it’s free. One just needs to know their respective Vidhan Sabhas. You need to fill out required fields on the app form only once.

One just needs to take a print out of the filled form and submit it the ERO.

Ended her talk by requesting all workers and volunteers to connect people to the BJP by registering them as voters.
