BJP’s Arun Jaitley has written a scathing letter to PM, exposing various irregularities in Virbhadra Singh tenure as the Union steel minister and as the CM of Himachal Pradesh and demanded a CBI probe. Leveling serious graft charges against him, he called it as an “open and shut case of corruption”. Indicting him for quid pro quo dealing, he alleged Virbhadra Singh accepted money to the tune of Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 2.4 crore, through cheques in his and his parliamentarian wife Pratibha Singh’s name, from Venture Energy and Technology Pvt. Ltd and in return company was given two extensions in a hydel power project despite defaulting.   

Also raising doubt at the veracity of intentions of Rahul Gandhi at Adarsh scam, he said “The action in this case will prove if the stand on Adarsh report was genuine or contrived”
