Narendra Modi will be in Chennai to deliver the convocation address at the SRM university on February 9, where he will be unveiling a statue of founder Pachaimuthu’s mother Valliamai in front of the college that bears her name from the TP Ganesan Auditorium.

Over 10,290 students (UG+PG) from 128 disciplines and 56 PhD students will receive their degrees in due course with a honorary degree being conferred upon Avinash Chander, Director General DRDO for his long term contribution to science and research.
