The OFBJP has now reached the shores of Dubai too! At a dinner reception organised by the at Holiday Inn at Bur Dubai which was attended by BJP Spokesman & MP Shri. Syed Shahnawaz Hussain & OFBJP Convenor Shri. Vijay Jolly appointed Mr. Remesh Thrikkasery Ramakrishnan of Kerala as the President of newly launched OFBJP, UAE chapter.

A saffron scarf along with a Ganesh statue was presented to Mr. Remesh TR by visiting BJP leaders at the program. Nearly 500 family heads of NRI’s from Sindhi, Punjabi, Keralaties, Malayalies, Rajasthani, Bihari, UP & Madhya Pradesh communities attended the reception. The whole venue of the program was decorated with BJP flags and its election symbol “LOTUS”.

Visiting a labour camp in the outskirts of the city BJP Spokesman Mr. Syed Shahnawaz Hussain & OFBJP leader Mr. Jolly addressed a gathering of 2000 strong Indian labor force. BJP leaders appealed them to make “one hundred phone calls” through their calling phone cards to their relatives in India for “ONE NOTE & ONE VOTE” in favour of BJP in the next parliamentary elections. The assembled crowd raised their hands in support of BJP leader Mr. Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister of India & roundly applauded for BJP President Shri. Rajnath Singh on the occasion.

The issue of NRI’s voting in the next Lok Sabha polls while stationed in the country of their employment was also stressed by the visiting BJP leaders. A Arabic dinner meeting with business leaders was hosted by Mr. V. Harshvardhan, Chairman Al Reyami Group the largest steel construction company in Dubai.
