BJP Nation General Secretary Muralidhar Rao fielded questions from the youth on the Google Hangout where the subject of the day was “Youth for change”. This is what party leader had to say.
Ashok Vasan :
What is the plan to govern such a populous and huge nation ? Is e-governance on cards ?
Technology is important tool to ensure benefits reach to the end person. We have always encouraged technology. We are proud that indian entrepreneurs are well versed with technology and we have been a nation that has provided world the solutions using technology.
BJP in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh or Chhattisgarh has e-governance cell and this has resulted in better performance of the governments. In Chhattisgarh technology has helped in sealing leakage of food grains through PDS. In Gujarat we have done great with e-governance.
BJP is committed to inclusive growth and root out corruption at every level with the use of technology. Our manifesto will also have a chapter about the use of technology for introducing e-governance at national level to achieve our development objectives.
Sangita Naik-Given the fact that India is a plural economy how would you win over the minorities and generate employment for youth ?
Wherever BJP has been in power, the performance shows how the party is disposed towards minorities, majorities and other social. We treat everyone as Indians. In Gujarat minorities are the beneficiaries of the development. Divide and rule has been unfortunately followed by Congress. By presenting facts and figures to convince all. Among minorities there is a realization and acceptance level has gone up. The worst affected are deprived people like the minorities. In this country any kind of development can be achieved only by equality. Real issues should be discussed during the upcoming elections. Acceptance of BJP among all people is increasing irrespective or caste and religion. We can only empower ourselves if we do not go for divisive politics. As it will do no good for any one.
Shubham Dasedas :
What exactly is BJP doing to attract the youth to politics ?
BJP’s performance in all states in terms of performance, credibility has been top notch. In this connection, the young population is attracted to the party which wants these issues addressed. Success of democracy has been demonstrated by electing Narendra Modi. In last 9 years these issues have not been addressed at all. Youth will ask questions and they are self-confident and dynamic and they will take part for the first time in the elections. This will work for BJP in better way as they feel that nation’s image is battered and they know that India is called a corrupt nation. They youth knows that BJP will give solution to these problems.
Neeraj Agarawal :
In recent years India’s growth rate is depreciating and the gap between India and China is increasing. How do you plan to bridge this gap and how would you use our youth to make this change happen ?
Unless you support the local entrepreneurs you cannot improve the economy and sustain it. We have started importing everything and destroyed the domestic manufacturing sector. China has captured global markets but as a competing neighbour instead of protecting our markets we have started importing employment to China. TRI has also recommended in how to develop the manufacturing sector but we still have not done anything. The Govt invited foreign companies without creating a level playing field. The point is that governance is zero. It has no objectives or accountability and there is loss of employment. This is a country of micro entrepreneurs and they are worst affected in such a situation. All over the world the feeling is that unless leadership is restored India’s growth story will be lost forever.
The confidence level has come down. We need to urgently restore the confidence level back and create ground support for the entrepreneurs and create level field for them. BJP is one party that can do it.
Dr. SD Bharati :
What are the changes BJP will bring in the education system ?
Education is the game advancer and game cganger. This is a subject ignored in the country in the past few years. Whenever the BJP has tried to Indianise education it is said the party is saffronising education. Technology and training in technology is also very important. There are vast areas where there is no higher education institutions or the technology to back them up. We have young population which are not educated as per the nation’s requirements. State cannot withdraw from the education sector.
Aakash Krisskut :
How is BJP going to get more support in the South with the help of the youth where people vote on the basis of caste ?
Everybody wants to see the same issues addressed everywhere and this is why people are supporting Narendra Modi because they know what he can achieve. BJP’s following in every state has grown. Narendra Modi’s public meetings in the South have also got tremendous response.
Venkateswaran K N :
How are we going to harness the energy of the youth and those youngsters who are having an identity crisis because of the current Government’s policies ? Would BJP have guts to work on the education system ?
BJP is also committed to welfare economics but that will not make the party create money draining policies. Employment generation at grassroots level is very important. Youth have the largest stake in the future. Their concerns are education and jobs. Government should not hurdle people. We need to take care of identity of the nation. As the image of India now hurts the sentiments of youth. Congress is not able to come with any credible program for the same. In the manifesto you will find some important policy with regards to this.
